I was about 11 when I saw it for the first time, having already seen my share of 80s/90s horror. I couldn't get over how wrong it felt. Where was the sound cue? The warning? Why was this thrown at me like that? Paranormal Activity almost worked, but I couldn't quiet stop looking at it like a technical exercise.

@Liam: When I hear you, when I rewatched the film this October, I was really impressed by just how intense that film really was.

@JD: Oh hell yes. Bottin is a genius.

@Andre: Thanks for the kind words. And for coming up with this awesome idea!

@Atroxion: Thanks. I love the way the director uses negative space in that movie, so when they "step in" it looks like they belong there.

@Simon: Many thanks. It was probably one of the first horror films I actually properly watched, and there are some scenes in it that are amazing. Then now & again something crops up to genuinley give you the willies. Paranormal Activity did it for me recently. I think I get more scared if I don't know what's going on or if I can't see because the lights have gone out... Subtle things like that give me the wills for sure.Scare Sarahhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11909661486216989851noreply@blogger.com
