The rules for those unaware are thus:
1. Pick as many pictures as you want - but make them screencaps. These need to be moments that speak to you that perhaps haven't been represented as stills before.
2. Pick a theme, any theme.
3. You MUST link to the original gallery at Checking On My Sausages and the gallery at The Dancing Image.
4. Tag five blogs.

Still with its virtue more or less in tact are the images. My theme, inspired by this Glenn Kenny review (Which proves that when he still cares to write about you know, films, he's pretty damn good at it), is Grace. In all the meanings and manifestations of the word.
I fudged a bit on the screen cap rule as a few of the below images were just too perfect for me to let a namby pamby thing like explicitly stated rules get in their way. I hope the creators of this wonderful idea will forgive me.
As for the Tagging I choose:
Roger Ebert
Acidemic
Sergio Leone And The Infield Fly Rule
Exploding Kinetoscope

Wonderful.
I particularly like those images from PORCO ROSSO, VANILLA SKY and PICKPOCKET (that is it, isn't it?).
Many thanks Stephen, for both the kind words and coming up with this idea.
And yes you got all three.
Nice collection! I particularly like the inclusion of DAYS OF HEAVEN. Love that film...
Impossible to resist - I mean, Audrey, Fred and Ginger, Pickpocket, all those animated inclusions which made me smile. Great work. Though for a moment I thought the sidebar was part of the post and wondered why the knife-wielding rabbit from Donnie Darko made the cut, ha ha.
Is that The Passion of Joan of Arc?
@ JD: I'm reeeaaaallll happy with that shot.
@ MM: Many thanks for being so understanding, and the kind words. As for the sidebar, each picture makes a perverse kind of sense when juxtaposed to the one proceding it and the one after it. Whether by theme, compostion, or what have you. Something I'm unduly proud of.
@Simon: Indeed it is!
I take my hat off to you, Bryce. This is one of the best image galleries I've seen contributed to this meme. I love the way you've used the technique from your sidebar of stills, where the theme/image is developed, contrasted, contextualised and made emotionally resonant by each successive image.
Many for the kind words Neil.
This really was a case of the images themselves doing half the work for me though.
In awe as usual! I played too but I don't think my choices are as good as yours-still it was fun!
I wish I were more versed in Samurai films, still all these posts make for good reading.
Um..."the ole whales vagina"?
@ Rob: Many thanks for the kind words as always Rob.
The Whales Vagina, is an Anchorman reference. In which it is erroneously given as the true meaning of San Diego.
We all know that the true meaning of the word is lost to the scholars.
