Love these guys, I have a couple of their albums. Get Behind Me Satan and the one before it, the one with Seven Nation Army. Wasnt aware of the latest one.
I will miss the White Stripes. Elephant remains their best album. I also love White Blood Cells and De Stijl (which I'm listening to right now).
I've got to echo Franco's sentiments - 'Get Behind Me Satan': great album.

Here's a raised glass to the White Stripes and the music they gave us. And whisper it softly so that Mrs F doesn't hear, but I will forever have a soft spot for Meg.
I had the joy of seeing them live 4 times and each time they left everything they had on the stage. Just an incredible live experience.
Before I saw them for the first time, I dismissed Meg as being a crappy drummer but live it was clear that Jack and Meg had a musical symbiosis.
I'm kind of sad they broke up...but Jack's got his other bands so it's not like he's going anywhere.
Big fan of their stuff - loved how Jack White was a fan of Orson Welles and even snuck in a bit of the song from CITIZEN KANE into "The Union Forever." Always thought that was pretty cool. Too bad they have broken up but one thing I've learned from musicians/bands is never say never. Like the Pixies reforming, Led Zeppelin even doing a one-off. I wouldn't be surprised in a few years time Jack and Meg getting back together.
@ FC: They're definitely worth checking out. They stayed strong to the end.
@ thevoid99: De Stijl is my personal favorite. Truth Doesn't Make A Noise is so good.
@ Neil: Thanks Neil. You and me both.
@ Paul: I never got to see them live one of my (now) biggest musical regrets. I like Jack White's other works, but the always seem a bit muted compared to The Stripes.
@ JD: Yeah I always loved Union. I'm sure they will eventually reform. But the Pixies as much as I love them have basically turned into a Vegas act for our generation and I'm not at all sure I want that from The Stripes.
So....when's the reunion tour? Jack White is the last truly great blues slide guitarist.
